Toen ze weduwe werd in 1892 heeft ze daar met haar drie zonen, Markus, Nicolaas en Jan tot 1910 gewoond. Voor die tijd, was het een groot gemengd bedrijf van 47 hectare grond. Gereformeerd als zij kennelijk was werd ze begraven op de begraafplaats van de "Gereformeerde Kerk" te Nieuwdorp.
Uit de verhalen van de grootvader van Markus de Regt pastte haar kist niet in de traditionele lijkwagen, doch moest op het laatste moment een boerenwagen klaar gemaakt worden om de mater familias ten grave te dragen.
