    After a lot of hardship the Christian Reformed Church took pity on them, helped them and moved most of the emigrants to Iowa. Some went to Kansas and Nebraska. The family of Cornelis Kloosterman left for Pella, near lake RedRock, Iowa. Most of his descendants still live there.
