    Foto gemaakt door de fotograaf Jacobus Johannes Quist (1846-1918). Hij was van oorsprong koopman, maar leerde daarnaast het vak van fotograaf. Hij vestigde zich in 1869 in Goes, eerst aan de Lange Kerkstraat, maar in 1879 verplaatst hij zijn atelier en winkel naar de Klokstraat C 160. Dat is het adres waar later de zaak van Wilking is gevestigd, en nog later de HEMA, op de kop van de Lange Kerkstraat. Hij heeft daar waarschijnlijk tot 1903 gezeten.

    Uit deze advertentie blijkt dat hij naast de fotografie inderdaad ook nog actief was als winkelier in allerlei artikelen.
