Coman/Come is vanaf ca. 1550 in gebruik.

I am starting out using TNG to develop my genealogy. In trying to set it up I found I wanted more cosmetic changes. I looked into Wordpress and ran across your site. I found it "prachtig" and want to use yours as a guide. I am having difficulties in configuring everything but the internet has a wealth of knowledge. I have a site that is brand new and definitely a work in progress.
I too have tried to figured out who I am. But I am trying to find out how I came to be. In 30 generations 100 million people had to make decisions that affected me. I have trouble grasping that.
I was born in 1948. I spent most of my career in computer technology but the death of my wife in 1999 I gave it up. Then health issues came along and did not do much of anything.. However I am doing more and have a wonderful wife who is very supportive.
Be safe traveling. If you ever get to America, look me up.

Wow Cees, what an inspiring site. I've been researching my family lines for a few years and have made tentative steps into publishing online. Therefore, I've been researching examples and found your site from TNG. I doubt that I can manage to build such a good looking and widely researched site as yourself but it is an example to try and emulate.

Would you have any suggestions on locations to look? I checked the Zeeland genealogy site...there is a Jan Bekker that might fit, but the person connected with the information had never answered any requests. This is the only line of my lineage that is sparse.

Hello Cees, and thank you so much for this website...this is exactly what I was looking to do, integrate TNG into Wordpress but have more control over the customization of my website. You have been a tremendous help, as, although I am quite computer/database savvy, there are limitations to that knowledge when it comes to web design, which I am beginning to realise can be quite complex!!

So anyway, I already had my TNG website up and running, but wanted to not be constrained by the templates, plus I wanted to add extra information, much like yours, so here I am..

So I have followed your instructions to the letter, and it is all good, I am in the process of designing my page, and the links to all the TNG webpages works well, complete with the Wordpress headings, etc.

There is only one problem (so far...!!)....and that is I seem to have lost the link to the media thumbnails, indeed the media altogether. When I select the photos to view them (as no thumbnail is showing up), the image doesnt load, and I therefore cant create a thumbnail from the original. Nothing has changed, WP uses the same My SQL database that I had set up for TNG, so what am I doing wrong here?...the links are showing up (there is the usual list of media like on the TNG website), but the media appears to be missing...do you have any clues??

Once again, thankyou, thankyou, thankyou...I wouldnt have got this far without your advice on your website...brilliant!!

Beste Cees,
Vriendelijke groet,
Jody
