Dank je wel voor dit verhaal. Mijn zwager Antony de Hulster is ook in Oost Duitsland geweest. Hij kwam een jaar na de oorlog pas thuis. Heeft nooit kunnen praten over die tijd. Als het rondom 4 mei was, had hij flinke nachtmerries en bleef wat vreemd. Hij is altijd vrijgezel gebleven.

Wonderful amount of information, thanks you Cees, for all the help it has provided. My earliest Dutch family member is Cornelia Adriaansen Van 'T Clooster who married Pieter Janse Lokker in Zierikzee on April 29, 1761. I have found in my research her name spelled with and without the "Van" and the "'T" also spelled Klooster. Anyone out there have any information on this relative?
